Our Claims Service

We provide all our general insurance clients with a professional in-house claims service to assist in having claims settled quickly and professionally. This is a free service. It's just one of the ways that we provide you with extra value for doing business with IC Frith.

In the event of a claim please call our office as soon as possible. We can help you to lodge your claim for prompt assessment and action.

We have experienced staff at each one of our offices to assist you with your claims enquiries. Our designated claims manager is available to speak to you personally to discuss your claims circumstances and provide instructions or advice.

Helpful Hints Prior to a Claim

  1. Prepare a list of your property and valuables or an asset schedule for both home and business. Include details of make/model, serial numbers, age of the item and estimated value. Then provide us with a copy to enable us to assess the adequacy of your insurance cover.
  2. Retain purchase receipts and invoices, along with valuations, manuals or any other documents, which can provide proof of ownership. Place these in an insurance file for easy reference.

Questions to consider after an Event.

Some of the questions you may need to consider after an event:

  • If I have suffered a loss at home or business, have I taken steps to minimise my overall loss?
  • Have one of my employees been injured? If so, has the injured person received medical attention? Has prompt action be taken to reduce the potential for a similar incident to re-occur and has the incident been reported to the relevant authorities?
  • If I have had a motor vehicle accident, have I obtained all the relevant details of the other drivers involved?
  • Is the incident actually a claim under my policy?

If you are unsure, then you can contact us for advice.

Helpful Hints in the Event of a Claim

  1. Please do not admit liability for any accident. Tell them that you will need to refer the matter to your insurer, and then call us for advice.
  2. Obtain the name, address and motor vehicle registration of any people involved in the motor accident.
  3. Report any motor vehicle accident (over $1000) or burglary to the police as soon as possible.
  4. For business related incidents complete an incident report form as soon as possible (sample available on request).
  5. In the event of property damage, and if the loss is outside normal business hours, secure your premises and arrange necessary temporary repairs.

Remember, after an incident call us as soon as possible so that we can help you.
